Grey black patina for Zinc and Copper
I have developed my own patina solution that produces a black / grey patina on Zinc and Copper.
The solution works extremely quickly on zinc turning it instantly jet black then mellows to a grey black finish as the solution dries. It is very easy to apply using a brush, paint roller, a cloth, dipping the piece or simply pouring the solution onto the specific areas where you want the patina to develop. Once the patina solution has dried and the correct level of patina has been achieved then you can protect it with a wax or a clear sprayed coating.
